Little Black Pearl’s (LBP) signature after school program offers innovative visual and music arts education that provides a solid foundation in the “Business of Art” for youth ages 13-19. This program allows students to explore the connection between art and business through a creative learning environment in our Music, Glassblowing, and Multi-media studios. In addition to innovative exploration in the arts studios, LBP has been in partnership with the Food Depository for the past 4 years, serving students warm and healthy meals. The after school program’s goal is to broaden experiences through collaborations with community partners and cultural institutions.

LBP will also integrate into it’s after school programming, internships that could potentially offer employment opportunities to students who complete the internship training. Skills will be taught in the areas of screen printing, customer service, restaurant and coffee connoisseur (Barista).

Students who are clients of DCFS have scholarships available, and most CPS students can qualify for waived enrollment!
