WHERE ENTERTAINMENT, FOOD, DRINKS, MERCHANDISING, SPORTS AND KID ACTIVITIES ARE COMBINED TO CREATE A FUN-FILLED ENTERTAINING EVENT.
Little Black Pearl Workshop is celebrating 25 years of rewarding relationships with the community and our corporate partners that have helped to build a better and brighter future for thousands of youth in Chicago.
PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS CAREFULLY:
EVENT DATE: SATURDAY, August 24, 2019; 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
LOCATION: 39TH Street & the Lake Front
APPLICATION DUE DATE: July 19, 2019
APPLICATION FEE: a $300.00 Application Fee Is Required with All Application Submissions for All Vendors. Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot or attendance at this year’sfestival. FULL SITE FEE PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AND DUE AT TIME OF FILING THIS APPLICATION. IF YOU ARE NOT ACCEPTED INTO THE FESTIVAL WE WILL REFUND YOUR APPLICATION FEE. ONCE YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE FESTIVAL NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE FESTIVAL AND AGAIN NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ONCE YOU ARE CONFIRMED AS A VENDOR. BY SUBMITTING PAYMENT, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO ALL TERMS SET WITHIN THIS APPLICATION FORM. PAYMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED VIA OUR SECURED WEBSITE:
THE PEARLFEST COMMITTEE IS COMMITTED TO ENSURE YOUR OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSE IS MINIMAL: AND BY MODERATING THE NUMBER OF VENDORS, WE ARE ENCOURAGING A PRODUCTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS DAY. THIS IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR LITTLE BLACK PEARL ART & DESIGN ACADEMY. PEARLFEST HAS TRADITIONALLY BEEN A VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT FOR OUR VENDORS. IN ADDITION TO THE APPLICATION FEE VENDORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO DONATE 20% OF THE REVENUE MADE DURING THE EVENT TO LITTLE BLACK PEARL. A TAX CONTRIBUTION LETTER IS AVAILBALE UPON REQUEST FOR THE 20% PARTICIPATION.
ANY ASPHALT COVER (FOR GREASE) IS A VENDOR’S RESPONSIBILITY. DUE TO THE FESTIVAL SITE LOCATION, ELECTRIC SUPPLY IS NOT STRUCTURED AND THEREFORE NOT AVAILABLE. GENERATOR POWER MAY BE ACCOMODATED – AT AN ADDITONAL COST (TBD BY # OF REQUESTS). VENDORS ARE ASKED TO REMAIN THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVAL AS CROWDS WILL EBB AND FLOW. GREATER MERCHANDIZING CONSUMPTION IS ANTICIPATED DURING THE DAY & EARLY AFTERNOON. VENDOR LOAD-IN WILL OCCUR BETWEEN 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM. ALL MERCHANT VENDORS ARE TO BE PLACED BEFORE 11:00 AM. ALL MERCHANT SALES END AT 8:00 PM. FOR PEDESTRIAN SAFETY, NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON SITE TO LOAD-OUT BEFORE 10:00 PM. VENDORS MAY ONLY CART PRODUCTS TO PARKING LOT BEFORE 10:00 PM. GENERAL LOAD-OUT WILL OCCUR AFTER 10:00 PM.
NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES, BOTTLE OR OTHERWISE, MAY BE SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT! IF WE FIND A VENDOR BREAKING THIS RULE WE WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS IMMEDIATELY AND YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED YOUR SITE FEE NOR WILL YOU BE APPROVED TO RETURN TO THIS FESTIVAL AGAIN.
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES: EACH VENDOR IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY TEMPORARY PERMITS THROUGH THE CITY OF CHICAGO AND BE ABLE TO PASS GENERAL INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO THE EVENTS START TIME ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

Please note a city of Chicago Tier 1 Retail Pop-Up license is required.
We recommend you check with the city of Chicago before applying to verify a clear account. As any debts or holds will prevent vendors from receiving their license. To check your account contact (312) 74 – GO BIZ.
Signed Merchant Vendor Contract
All vendors must complete and sign Little Black Pearl Workshop’s Pearl Fest application. Upon confirmation, all vendors are required to endorse contract with Little Black Pearl Workshop.
SITE FEE: Full Site Fee is due with the submission of this application – limited space available.
APPLICATION/SITE FEE IS $300.00. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REVIEWED AND YOU WILL BE CONTACTED ONCE APPROVED. IF YOU’RE NOT APPROVED YOU WILL BE REFUNDED YOUR APPLICATION FEE IN FULL. THIS EVENT IS SPECIFIC TO SELECTED VENDORS. ONLY ONE VENDOR SPACE APPROVED PER APPLICATION SUBMITTAL. ALL VENDORS MUST AGREE TO ONLY USE 1 - (10’ X 10’) TENT PROVIDED BY EVENT PROMOTER – FOR AESTHETIC CONTINUITY. EVENT PROMOTER WILL PROVIDE 1 (10 x 10) TENT, 1- 6’ OR 8’ TABLE (ADDITIONAL TABLE - $25.00) AND TWO FOLDING CHAIRS. Vendors must provide table coverings (that extend to the ground), additional seating, water, power, meals, support, ice and any other equipment or product.
INDEMNIFICATION: Vendor shall indemnify and save and hold harmless Little Black Pearl Workshop, its Board of Directors, Chicago Park District, the City of Chicago, and its officers, agents and employees from and against any and all loss, liability, damage, cost and expense, including but not limited to reasonable attorney fees, injury, death, loss or damage of whatever nature to any person, property or any other claim by vendor or its officers, employees, agents, customers, licensees, invitees or any other person, firm or corporation resulting from the occupancy of the event space. This indemnification shall not extend to any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense caused by the act or omission of Little Black Pearl Workshop, its Board of Trustees, Chicago Park District, City of Chicago, and their respective officers, agents and employees.
