Black Wall Open Mic is a curated space for Black voices, stories, and sound. This is a listening-first open mic designed to honor the performer and the room.
Each performer will have three minutes to share their work, keeping the flow tight and the energy moving. Whether you’re bringing poetry, music, or spoken word, this is a space to be heard and held.
This event is 18+. While Little Black Pearl is typically a 21+ environment, we’re opening this night to 18+ participants to cultivate a respectful, intergenerational creative space.
To maintain our listening culture, the nook area is reserved for active listening during performances. Side conversations are encouraged to move into the Black Wall area so the room stays centered on the mic.

Fuel the night with Market snacks from C47 or drinks from our bar—available until 8:30 PM, ID is require.
Performer Note:
If you plan to perform with music, please bring your track on a USB drive or be prepared to share it via email or AirDrop at check-in. This helps keep transitions smooth and the night running on time.
