Single Day Workshops:

JAN.13

Learn how to build your own beats using drums, loops, and samples from real songs.

This workshop teaches students how to create original beats by arranging drums, melodies, and samples. Participants will explore rhythm, sound layering, and basic music production techniques using industry-standard software.

Students will dive into the foundations of music production by learning how to build full beats from scratch. They will experiment with drum patterns, melodic loops, and track samples to create unique instrumentals. This session introduces the essentials of tempo, structure, sound selection, and creative decision-making—giving young producers the tools to start crafting their own sound.

JAN.20

Record vocals in a real studio using a pre-written track/script

Students will learn the basics of studio recording, mic technique, and performance as they record vocals to a pre-written track or spoken work. They’ll experience what it’s like to work in a professional recording environment.

This workshop walks students through the full vocal recording process—from warming up and understanding mic placement, to performing multiple takes, stacking vocals, and capturing ad-libs. Participants will record to a pre-written beat and learn how engineers shape sound using monitoring, levels, and guiding feedback. Perfect for singers, rappers, spoken-word artists, or anyone curious about studio life.

JAN.27

Learn 10 steps for writing a complete and meaningful song.

Students will learn a practical songwriting framework that covers structure, lyric writing, storytelling, hooks, and flow. By the end, each student begins crafting their own song idea.

This workshop breaks songwriting down into a simple 10-step process that helps young artists generate ideas, refine lyrics, and shape a full song. Students will explore melody, rhythm, rhyming, emotional tone, and theme development. Through guided exercises and examples, participants will leave with the foundation of an original song and the confidence to keep building.

FEB.6

Design your own wearable art. This workshop focuses on creating fashionable, print-ready designs that can be heat pressed onto t-shirts or other garments. Instead of logo-building, students explore pattern, illustration, message-driven art, and streetwear-inspired layouts to create eye-catching apparel designs.

Participants can choose from black or white shirts provided—or bring their own gear to customize. By the end of the session, each student walks away with a self-designed piece of apparel and a deeper understanding of how fashion and graphic design connect.

Class participation notice: We limited space for 10 participants for the class. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to creating something together.
