C47 WORK LOUNGE GUIDELINES

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

 

The C47 Lounge is a creative coworking and gathering space designed to be inspiring, collaborative, and respectful. All members and guests are expected to uphold these guidelines and comply with Little Black Pearl Workshop’s Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy at all times while on the premises or participating in Lounge-related programming. 

 

C47 Lounge premise include, without limitation, all lounge facilities, the Experiment Station, performance space, and garden. 

 

Community Expectations

C47 members and their guests are expected to:

  • Enjoy and respect the beauty and purpose of the space

  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment

  • Treat all members, guests, staff, artists, and partners with dignity and respect

  • Be kind, civil, and mindful of others

  • Comply with all membership agreements, guidelines, and posted signage

  • Respect quiet zones and shared work areas

  • Resolve personal disputes outside of the Lounge and not involve staff, members, or the space

  • Follow staff instructions and operational policies

  • When challenges arise, approach them with curiosity, care, and mutual respect

Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent revocation of membership:

  • Violence, threats, or intimidation of any kind

  • Verbal, physical, sexual, or discriminatory harassment

  • Solicitation, petitioning, or advocacy directed at members or staff regarding facilities, programs, policies, or staffing

  • Inappropriate, abusive, or offensive language or behavior

  • Disruptive conduct that interferes with programming, operations, or the experience of others

  • Smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco products

  • Reckless or intentional damage to the facility or property

  • Possession of firearms, weapons, or dangerous devices (except as required for authorized duty of service)

  • Possession, sale, exchange, or use of illegal or controlled substances

  • Any behavior deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with LBP values at the discretion of management

Membership Review & Cancellation

To maintain a safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment, LBP reserves the right to suspend or cancel any membership for failure to comply with these guidelines, the Code of Conduct, or staff directives. Decisions regarding disciplinary action are made at the sole discretion of LBP management.

 

Privacy & Confidentiality

To protect the privacy of all members, guests, and staff:

  • Photography, video recording, and audio recording are not permitted without prior written authorization

  • Members must respect confidential conversations and proprietary work conducted within the Lounge

  • Personal information shared within the space must be treated with discretion and care

 

Cell Phone & Technology Policy

To support a focused and respectful shared environment:

  • Phone conversations should be brief and kept at a conversational volume

  • Speakerphone use is not permitted

  • Headphones or earbuds are required for music, videos, or virtual content

  • Video conferencing is not permitted in shared Lounge areas

If an urgent call is necessary, members are asked to step outside these areas promptly.

 

Workshops, Appointments, Reservations 

A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all appointments, reservations, workshop, programs, and sessions. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be charged in full.

 

Children

Children are not permitted in the Lounge except during programs specifically designed for family or youth participation. 

 

Staff & Service Feedback

C47 staff are hired through a thoughtful and thorough process. If you experience a concern regarding service, please speak directly with management rather than addressing staff members individually. This allows for appropriate coaching, support, or corrective action.

 

Positive feedback is always welcomed and shared with staff.

 

Tipping is not expected but appreciated. Tipping is customary for services provided in the Carver 47 Food & Wellness Market and select special services.

 

First Aid & Medical Assistance

In the event of an emergency, please notify a staff member immediately. Management will contact appropriate emergency services as needed. Some staff members are certified in CPR, first aid, and defibrillator use. 

 

Guest Passes

Members may invite guests using approved guest passes for limited Lounge use. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and ensuring compliance with all guidelines.

 

Lockers, Lost & Found

Complimentary lockers are available for securing valuables; however, C47 is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

Lost items should be turned in to Member Services.

  • Valuable items are held for 30 days

  • Non-valuable items are held for 7 days

  • Unclaimed items may be donated after the holding period


 

Membership Cards, Key Fobs, & Door Codes

Please present your membership card/key fob each time you enter the Lounge, when registering guests, and when charging for the Market, workshops and special events. 

 

Membership cards, key fobs, and door codes are issued to individual members only and may not be shared.

  • Lost or forgotten cards may be replaced for a $20 fee

  • Misuse or misrepresentation may result in membership cancellation

Parking

Street Parking is available on 47th Street and Greenwood Avenue.

 

Policy Updates

These guidelines may be updated at any time at the discretion of Little Black Pearl Workshop management. Continued use of the Lounge constitutes acceptance of current policies.
